Sarah + Dennis: A California Ranch Wedding

There is something so sweet and refreshing about Sarah and Denniss wedding shared by the awesome Jennifer Williams. They focused on simple, pretty details in lieu of extravagance, planning a wedding that was a perfect fusion of their personalities and cultures. Sarah was finishing med school and volunteering in Uganda a month before the wedding and as she said, Everyone should go to Africa before their wedding, it really puts it in perspective. I love that. While I love a gorgeous party, Im all about keeping it real and skipping the over-the-top gestures. Sarah wore a gorgeous dress, the flowers were designed by one of her bridesmaids and she incorporated several handmade details like the bird cake topper and her veil. At the end of the day, it was all about the love Dennis and

Fingertip Length Mantilla Bridal Gowns With Veil

June 12, 2012By: Jhowie Category: Bridal Gowns Fingertip length mantilla bridal gowns with veil are part of the wedding dress and usually in white color. Just as there are endless designs for wedding dresses, also veils for the brides dresses are also available in numerous designs. Some women prefer long veils that trail behind them with their clothes, while some prefer only short veils to their shoulders or lower back. Usually the purpose of the veil is to completely hide the face of the bride, but sometimes brides prefer veils that only half of their faces covered. Choosing the design for the veil is not a big problem, but to choose the material for the Bridal Veil is very important. Usually the veil of material should be as opposed to dress the bride, but most women prefer their veil

Wedding Veil and Fascinator (Colors can be customized)

Something new, something old. This was a custom request from a bride who wanted me to use some of the lace from her mother's dress. (But I can use new lace for this, as well.) The Hat veil consists of a fascinator base covered in lace, two layers of veiling material (one french veiling and the other bridal illusion tulle, and topped it all off with three handmade flowers, also made from veiling and the lace. What a gorgeous finshed look! This can also come in IVORY or WHITE. Be sure to check out our other veil and fascinator combinations at Thanks for looking! Have any questions? Contact the shop owner.

Each wedding is special and beautiful and has their own personal style. Recently, I attended a wedding of my dear friend Brittany Adams (remember all those blog posts of myself and those cutie girls on our bachelorette trip). Whats In A Veil Drop Veils

I am finally kicking off a little info series requested by a lovely Dottie. Its all about veils, the lengths, the styles, what works and what doesnt. I would love to hear what veil youre wearing or if youre wearing one at all! Starting off with my current favourite, the drop veil. Made famous by Grace Kelly and more recently Kate Middleton, the drop veil looks like it was softly dropped on your head. Using only one layer of tulle, the veil is normally made without a comb, though the veil may be secured with hair pins or a hat pin and the veil can be cut to any length (but is normally at least elbow length). The drop veil can suit brides who dont want a poofy veil and would rather a simple whisper of a veil. It also suits more elaborate gowns as its not competing

Our Wedding Day

Well, three months later and I'm finally sharing a few candid black and white wedding photos with you! A few details: We were married in the church I grew up going to and our reception took place at our country club across town. I wanted a very traditional, "vintage romantic" feel to the day, and went with all white flowers (a mix of roses, peonies and orchids) and lots of candles. It rained the entire day, which added to the theme perfectly. My bridesmaids wore J. Crew dresses and jewelry and my dress was Melissa Sweet. I wore my mom's diamond earrings and a bird cage veil for my walk down the aisle and then later changed into Dannijo bling for the party! And of course I rocked leopard print Miu Miu heels and the boys wore matching socks! We danced with close family and friends all night

Bridal Veils

Brides began wearing white veils on their wedding day, as a symbol of their purity or to protect themselves from evil spirits. Today, the reason behind their choice hasnt much to do with these aspects and is mostly related to their desire of looking fashionable and differentiating from other invitees. In the past, brides felt that they had to follow some rules or customs and avoided to alter them too much. This has changed dramatically over the time and nowadays no one judges a brides decision to look modern and chic and most people appreciate the imagination with which some brides create different elements that have to do with their wedding. As long as the bride and groom still know and respect the importance of the wedding ceremony, the fact that they want to bring an innovative pa

Ryde Hotel: 1920's Themed wedding

Do you love the idea of having a 1920's wedding when flapper dresses, long pearl necklaces, and pinstriped zoot suits were the fashion statement of the day? If so, read on for some fabulous ideas to make your vintage wedding celebration a day to remember. Something to have in mind to look authentic. You may also consider wearing a flat veil held in place by an orange blossom wreath, which was also popular at the time. Bridesmaids Outfit your wedding attendants with flapp
