Full-Time, 10 + Years of Experience I specialized in potty breaks and dog walking in Chesterfield/New Baltimore & surrounding areas. I also do pet sitting & dog training at your home. I have been pet-sitting for my friends' and co-workers' dogs, cats, birds, small animals, and fish for over 10 years. I have taken care of my dogs for over 15 years. I have cared for my dogs since they were puppies or re-homed adult dogs until they were senior dogs and passed on. Currently, I have Mickey, a 14-year-old toy poodle and Jake, a 2-year-old miniature poodle. December 2010, Jake came to live with us when he was 1 years old. Lives in Letters: Better the Second Time Around: Week 1

NOTE: I am giving you information about how to revise, but be aware this often takes more than one session, and these assignments, which are given each week for the sake of the class, could easily take longer. Not every person hoping to write their life stories will want the same level of revision either. Feel free to pair these lessons in ways that help you and satisfy your needs. Today, we're going to talk about one of the simplest ways to improve your writing: being more specific. Look at your piece. Find a sentence. What can be more specific? Look especially at the nouns and verbs. For example: "Often our evening meals were interrupted by random noises outside. We would look out the back door to discover our dog in the pool." First, look at the nouns/pronouns: meals noises we door dog

Dog Art Today: Georgia O'Keeffe's Chows

Georgia O'Keeffe on Evening Walk with her Dog, Ghost Ranch, by John Loengard, 1966 I just finished reading Full Bloom: The Art and Life of Georgia O'Keeffe by Hunter Drohojowska-Philp. I highly recommend it. I posted about Georgia O'Keeffe and her dogs here, but now I know a little more about them. Her first dog was a standard Black Poodle named Pancho. When he was killed by a car, a neighbor gave her two blue Chow puppies she named Bo and Chia. Bo was her favorite, but sadly he was hit by a truck and killed. But she became devoted to the Chow breed and ended up having six during her lifetime including Bobo, Jinga, and Inca.

By Sarah Dickerson When I think of a perfect day the following always comes to mind: sunshine and my little family, which of course includes our dog. She is sort of the center of our family, and she totally knows it. Im sure the same rings true in your household too! So when I saw this photo session by the lovely Sarah, of McGraw Photography, I was completely motivated to shut off the computer and go outside in the sunshine with Coco Bean. And how about this charming poodle, Linus? He couldnt have been a more persuasive model. Its like his eyes are saying, Cmon outside and play!. There are lots of trendy baskets on the market for the daaper dog in your life. My personal favorite style is the woven wicker. Its has that old fashioned feel that I find so endearing. These bas

Turning the Tide: A Short Story

Nell unpacked her suitcase on the king-sized bed in the beach condo shed rented to remind her husband of their honeymoon three years ago. Then he could not keep his hands off his bride. Now he only had eyes for Susie Qhis miniature white poodle. Even after she gave birth to a son, John Junior, it did nothing to reel in her husband from the land of scooping poop and walking the dog. As she laid out her familys swimwear, bright blue to match the propertys umbrellas lined on the shore, she marveled her good fortune at finding a sunhat for Junior the same shade of blue as her gauzy sundress and John Seniors T-shirt and flip-flops. Her compulsion to match her familys clothes had spawned with the birth of her son. She knew it was odd but could not seem to stop herself from unit
